For Robust Health : 6 Fundamental Ways to Fix Your Lifestyle
A healthy person is one who is disease-free, enjoys life, has the energy to do their day-to-day chores, has a healthy mindset, and offers care & concern. Being healthy doesn't mean 6 pack abs only it starts from a healthy mind, body, and soul.
We all aim for 6 packs abs, flat belly, lean legs, muscular biceps, and whatnot. These all are deep concepts. If you really want to go down that road, you need to clear basic fundamentals first. Here's why I present you with 6 fundamental ways to fix your lifestyle.
For Robust Health: 6 Fundamental Ways to Fix Your Lifestyle
1. Eat Local Think Global - I read this concept in the book, "Lose Your Weight Not Your Mind", book by Mumbai-based Nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar. Just so you know she trained Kareena for her first-ever Bikini on-screen presence. Rujuta not only showed her talent through Tashan but also during Jab We Met, her pregnancy, and even after that.
As per Rujuta, one should consume food that is local to them and from their own soil. There is no doubt that eating local and thinking global is the first and the foremost step towards a healthier you.
Stay loyal to your own traditional food and wisdom. You don't need any westerner to tell you the goodness of our foods.
Look at what your grandparents are eating or use to eat. Eat food that is familiar with your body the first taste your body had. Your body will respond better to that food. Moderation is the golden rule!
2. Superfoods - Our Indian kitchen is full of Superfoods we must use them and get robust.
3. Stay Hydrated - Our body is made up of 60 to 70% of water which tells us that our body needs an ample amount of water to perform its day-to-day functions.
4. Sleep - Have you heard the phrase - "Sleeping Beauty" they say it for all the right reasons. While we sleep our bodywork on "wear and tear". The muscle you broke at the gym and the food you had in order to recover the muscle works while you sleep at night. Yes, sleeping is the recovery time.
In today's fast-paced life, we dig our faces on screens at work, at leisure, and while sleep. There is no wonder lack of sleep or insomnia is the cause of the creeping health conditions. When the body isn't getting the rest it requires it shows on your face and overall health.
5. Physically Active: The famous 9 to 5 lifestyle has made people sit more and either at work or driving back home then and comfortable couch. People don't like to move at all and that is creeping into huge health concerns. You don't need much. But at least 30 minutes in a day you have to be physically active to maintain a healthy weight followed by a nutritious well-balanced diet.
6. Me-Time - Giving yourself a "Me-time" or a pep talk time is very crucial since we're so much engrossed in making a name and bank balance in today's time that we hardly think what we really need to feel at peace.
